Sprouted coconut (ea)

A sprouted coconut is the edible, spherical cotyledon of a germinating coconut. It's also known as a coconut pearl, coconut embryo, coconut candy, coconut apple, or coconut cotyledon. Sprouted coconuts have a crunchy, watery texture with a slightly sweet taste. They're eaten in coconut-growing countries as is or in dishes. Some say they taste like a grassier version of coconut with a foamy or apple-like texture. Sprouted coconuts are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids.
