Mamey (ea)

Mamey sapote, also known as red mamey or sapote, is a tropical fruit that is native to Central America and Mexico. Mamey has a rough, dark brown skin and orange to deep red flesh. The fruit can be 4–10 inches in size and weigh 10 ounces to 8 pounds. It has a sweet, creamy flavor with a cherry-almond-like taste. Mamey sapote is high in vitamin A and potassium, and it's also a good source of fiber.
